If you own that Chromebook and if it's one of these models you can go ahead and officially install Linux on Chrombook, if you search online you'll find lots of infos, here's a manual about installing VirtualBox on Chromebook. IMHO running the Win7 installer through qemu under v86 is going to be rough. Also see section Windows Vista and newer in the docs about Windows, I never got Win7 to work but others may have. EDIT: Please also see here about newer Windows releases, and why you won't find a lot of support for it. |

this is probably a stupid question tbh but I am on a Chromebook without access to the terminal/crosh and I want to build a Windows 7 image. I know that v86 can run Linux, but I can't seem to use apt in any of the demo images. any help or advice is welcome. thanks in advance :)
