Hi, this is a different kind of suggestion, as i'ts not about the technical aspect of the CMS:
Craft has many things that make it a standout product, but here's two of my favourites:
1. Very active development
It's insane that almost every day there's activity on GitHub with fixes, new features, answers to questions & suggestions. This gives us huge confidence about the team's commitment to the project.
2. The community
Even more than before, with Dot Ones happening every few months, there's a great sense of community and outreach.
Why am I mentioning these two points? I don't see them front & center on Craft's site! Especially DotAll, which is around the corner with no mention on the homepage. There's a brief mention of "an active, awesome community", but that sounds like just marketing speak. I suggest "Show, Don't Tell"!
As a developer, when I'm checking out a new tool/project, especially a CMS, I want to be reassured that it will be healthy and active in the long run, with a good community to seek support & conversation.
I get that P&T is knee-deep in active development (a fact that I love as I mentioned above 🙂) and maybe hasn't enough bandwidth to constantly update the site, but IMO a few simple additions on the homepage could go a long way:
Add a section about talks and conferences. Highlight some past and future talks, photo galleries from the meetups etc.
Add a section (or sections) to somehow highlight the active developemnt of Craft: Some featured blog post about recent updates, a "changelog" widget, some stats from GitHub, that sort of thing.
Anyway, that's my two cents as a Craft fanboy that wants to see P&T take over the world!
