Which is faster: checking 20 keys for existence or writing On error resume next and handling the error?

The fastest is to call TryGetItem because this doesn't throw, does a single hash and returns the item all in one call.

Why do we need the Exists function if we have TryGetItem?

Two reasons:

1. Compatibility with Scripting.Dictionary and with previous versions of itself where TryGetItem was not implemented
2. If you don't want to retrieve the item then Exists(Key, IgnoreErrors:=True) is faster because it avoids the item copy, while not throwing
