Recommendations on extending inuit.css breakpoints

Hi,

Are there any recommended ways to add breakpoints without altering the inuit.css core files but retain useful mixins.
For example adding a narrower breakpoint than palm is no problem but from the _vars.scss file you cannot access useful mixins such grid-setup etc.
