I like my stat-blocks to have same formatting as in official books, so for awhile now i used markdown to make attacks look something like this:
Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Improved Initiative will display it correctly, but then i also noticed that whenever you use any type of markdown styling it would block ability to click on numbers to automatically roll that attack/damage.

I will add that the automatic transformation of "[5/5]" type notations, to add counters in Notes/Description, are completely non-functioning when there is Markdown formatting in the Notes.
