Seek funding for Annabel's work and her time

Background
Annabel Rayner: Super aligned and dedicated, very good and careful writer, quant and data skills, great at picking up tech.
She has an MSc in Health Economics from the LSE. She has some background and experience in quantitative meta-analysis in the health sector, and in managing project teams.

She has been volunteering on the barriers to effective giving project. I had her in mind for the ‘identifying, assessing and communicating insights from the literature on practicable tools’ role I mentioned to you in our discussion of the re-granting FTX thing.

I proposed to her a possible project/grant to apply for funding

• To “learn while doing” to improve her quantitative and data skills in the area of meta-analysis; working through, applying, and extracting from work like that of Harrer’s “Doing Meta-analysis in R”
• Under my supervision and guidance

While applying these methods to both:

1. The particular ‘impact of effectiveness information on donation’ meta-analysis I’ve been working on
2. A second long-termist/X-risk relevant meta-analysis

• Building and communicating learning and research-methods resources for researchers and practitioners in EA
  Including (link) posts on the EA forum

• Having regular conversations with people doing or seeking to do meta-analysis at key EA orgs

Thoughts? Is this something FTX or another funder might be keen on? I know they are funding/funded people to do master's programs in the past.

In addition to the direct value think it might be worth exploring this as an alternative credential-less ‘learn by doing and teach what you have learned’ approach. (And we could/should also write up 'how well this approach goes' as a case study for future learning/funding.)
