Description

There does not appear to be an intuitive way to produce the negated relation symbol for "Not Perpendicular".

Current Behavior

The Not Perpendicular symbol is missing from the Negated Relations Symbols palette:

The Word Symbol palette for negated relations. No not perpendicular symbol is available.

No Math AutoCorrect entry can be found that produces the "Not Perpendicular" Symbol.

Prefixing the existing \perp Math AutoCorrect entry for the "perpendicular symbol" with the "forward slash" (/) fails to negate it as it does with other relational symbols.

Expected Behavior

It should be possible to find the "Not Perpendicular" symbol in the Negated Relations Symbols Palette.

It should be possible to use the forward slash before the \perp Math AutoCorrect entry to negate it such that /\perp produces:
not perpendicular symbol
just like how one can enter /\parallel to create the not parallel symbol:
not parallel symbol
For example, entering u\vec /\perp v\vec should create:
Vector U not perpendicular to Vector V

Environment

  • Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631
  • Microsoft Word 365 Version 2410 (Build 18129.20158 Click-to-Run) Current Channel

Note: Although "Not Parallel" (U+2226: ∦) is in the symbol palette, it too cannot be made using /\parallel nor is there an existing Math AutoCorrect code for it.
