Report conversion metrics

"Maybe it would be possible to show some information about the conversion such as: time taken to convert, characters converted, etc. Especially when the conversion is making use of a metered service such as cloud TTS or a metered internet connection. When there is a cost to conversion, perhaps that API offers a way to query the cost of a conversion."

Sounds like a useful enhancement.

I imagine I would implement this with a new report output that would be presented by the GUI like other reports (such as validation results).

At the moment, I need to go into the Azure console to check what my usage has been. That has a complex interface and quite a steep learning curve to understand what the data means. Thanks for considering this.

@marisademeglio Sounds like this is something that can be implemented on the engine side, at least for now. Shall I transfer the issue to pipeline-modules?

Information that the report could include:

• length of sentences
• time it takes to synthesize the sentences
• synthesis speed (length over time)
• total download size (for cloud TTS services)
• voices used
