Can i use stylix to theme apps that not installed tru home-manager or nix? I have debian with home-manager i want to try stylix on it.

Sort of - apps must be configured through Home Manager for Stylix to be able to theme them. For most apps this means you have to also install them with Home Manager due to the way the modules work, as there's just one programs.*.enable option which enables both the configuration file and the package.

Standalone applications can be manually themed with the values provided by the config.lib.stylix attribute set. Otherwise, standalone applications can be implemented in Stylix, similar to what #415 is doing.

Ok, if i enable gtk theming in stylix, does DE's that's not installed from NIX (Fedora with Gnome for example) Can gnome from fedora read the GTK theme installed using Stylix?

Essentially, our GTK support does the following:

Most applications should read the $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/gtk-{3,4}.0/gtk.css files.

GTK isn't really a part of the desktop environment, it's just a library that individual applications may use. So the desktop environment isn't relevant in this case.

However, we also have a module which themes GNOME itself, which I believe should work outside of NixOS, although I haven't personally tested this. If it's not working, check that the User Themes extension is installed and enabled (although this should be done automatically by Home Manager).
