bitfunx PS2 adapters don't work properly

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I ordered 2 ps2 BlueRetro adapters from AliExpress. I plugged one in when I got them and it paired up perfectly to my Dualshock 3 by using the instructions on this site. Everything was fine until I went to use again and now neither one will power on. I was able to workaround by also powering thru the ps2 usb, but can only do that for one at a time.

I am using a ps2 slim.

Do you think it damaged the power out on the ps2? I assumed they were legit adapters as they link back to the site and give credit on their webpage. Is this a known issue? Any help is appreciated.
