UPDATE Seems while messing wth this I held the pair button too long and did a reset on the receiver. I reloaded the lastest firmware, set the system to MD-GENESIS and the mode to GamePadAlt. That seems close, but the button mappings are all wrong, except for the Y button. I'll try remapping and see if that will fix it. |

Not sure what the deal is/was but the button mapping was off for every button accept Y. Stange. Anyway, got it sorted out. |

Hi,
The other blueretro setups I've done before have gone pretty smooth. I think I might be missing something here, so I was hoping someone might be able to help me out.
I have the blueretro MD/Genesis receiver updated to the lated FW (24.04) and the 8bitdo MD Kit updated to the lastest firmware. I've made sure then when I power on the controller I've held the START+X buttont to turn on in X-inout mode. I've also verified that I've set the D-pad to D-pad mode (MODE+UP for 5 seconds) until I get a red led flash.
The controller pairs and seems to "work" but the mappings seem all wrong. Then I press left on the D-pad it trigger LEFT and the X button. UP triggers UP and Z. A triggers B and B triggers C, and some other missmatches.
I haven't changed any of the mappings and if I look that the receiver mappings they appear to all be correct. Altough, I'm not sure what blueretro sees 8bitdo MD kit as.
To double check the controller, I paired it to my Windows 11 machine and all appears to be working as I'd expect it to.
If anyone has any suggestions or can point me in the right direction I's appreaciate it!
