Is it possible to make WinMerge treat different case (case-sensitive) files and folders names as distinct files and folders?

My proposal would be to create an option like "Unix file system mode".

NOTE I: I am running "WinMerge" over "Wine" (Linux).
NOTE II: As we know the "default" Linux file system is case sensitive different from the "default" Windows file system. So we are looking for a workaround for this problem.
IMPORTANT: WinMerge works flawlessly over Wine and is by far the best tool in its field. There is no equivalent for Linux. We have Meld, but features like "Show Left Unique Items"/"Show Right Unique Items" don't exist, just to name a few.

EXTRA/CONTEXT: I've been using Linux for over 10 years and in my humble opinion tools like Notepad++ and WinMerge have reached the state of the art and should be ported (even for historical reasons and for being legitimate Free Softwares ) for Linux. But, we have no forecast for that. Since they work very perfectly in Wine, so I continue using both since the times when I used M$ Windows...

WinMerge behavior (Wine):

Meld behavior (Linux native):
