It's an inside joke in the Rust community, as new inductees into the language - especially from interpreted and garbage-collected languages like Python, Ruby, PHP and Javascript marvel at how fast code they ported over from these languages, even as new Rust converts, is often several orders of magnitude faster.
It's actually "blazingly fast" per the Rust home page Why Rust Performance section, but I choose to use "blazing fast" as my favorite Western comedy is "Blazing Saddles" and it nicely complements qsv's logo. 😄
And seriously, qsv is really just blazing fast! https://qsv.dathere.com/benchmarks 🏇
