How to figure out size (in Bytes) of the RTree before Serialization and after DeSerialization

While I was going through the Project Description, I read that you have mentioned about the size of RTree in Bytes before Serialization and after DeSerialization. May I please let me know how did you compute the size of RTree?

Hi one way is with a heap dump using jvisualvm.
