Feature Request: Show Raw Values

It would be nice for Polyphone to have an option to show the raw soundfont values.

That is:

• cents instead of Hz
• centibels (raw, before the 0.4 conversion) instead of decibels
• raw values instead of multipliers in the preset column
• timecents instead of seconds

I second your request for an alternative value display in principle.

But I personally like the dimensions given ("Hz", "s") since they are SI-conformant and I also think that the multiplier idea for the "additive logarithmic" preset values is very helpful.

My problem is that due to the three-digit precision of float values, small values are misrepresented. I was bitten recently when doing a conversion from a SoundFont that some converted values seemingly differed by tiny amounts from the original. Reason for that was that e.g. some value was displayed in Polyphone to be $$0.001$$, but in the SoundFont it really was $$9.9805\cdot 10^{-4}$$. Hence what I was seeing was a rounded value in the editor . And both values have - of course - different external representations when converted to natural for the SoundFont file, which at first puzzled me, because I could not explain that difference.

So my request would be to have an option for showing real values in scientific notation. So the above value would be displayed as $$\tt 9.981E{-4}$$ (when still adhering to the three digit precision). That could be done on demand, so I am fine with e.g. doing a right mouse click on a matrix field for being shown the complete value.

Maybe both requirements can be handled by some global display settings. The problem might be that the number input in the matrix should ideally be in some unified format...

The resolution may not be the one you wanted but for not adding a feature useful for only 1% of users, I added a csv export that writes all decimals. As an option, raw values (as writen in a soundfont file) can be written.
This kind of export allows investigations / debug.
