Return total_count , success_count and failed_count from a data_test

Hi All,
I am looking to develop a generic data_test that will return metrics such as total_count, success_count, and failed_count. My goal is to send these metrics to a Kafka topic, which will subsequently be utilized for calculating the data quality score of our data product.

I would appreciate your guidance and insights on this implementation. Any best practices or recommendations you could share would be immensely helpful.
