ghost scrolling sometimes

the following issue was reported by @Amzd on a different channel:

I’m having this cell ghosting which I think is the contextmenu starting to prepare

Just scroll but hold your finger in the start position for a little bit idk how to explain

and yes, i can confirm this, but you need to have some timing between tapping and start scrolling:

btw, there is also some "scrolling up" each time you enter a chat.
this is not directly a bug, could be regarded as a desired effect as well. however, if we have an easy option to get rid of that, i would do that.

ftr, iirc @Amzd reported having seen that effect also in other apps and also reported that he could not find an easy way to fix it (correct me if i am wrong) - so might be, this is also an apple glitch on some iOS versions, that might get improved at some point

maybe there is not much we can do about that with reasonable effort currently

I don't know how to fix this but other apps (eg iMessage) do not have this so there must be something we are doing wrong.
