WebAssembly examples crash

I wanted to give the examples a try, but none of them work on Firefox 146.0.1 on Linux.

Opening any example shows the text "Loading WebAssembly ...", then the text disappears, but I do not see anything new on the screen.

The debugger shows:

Hi! My guess is that your browser doesn’t have WebGpu enabled. IIRC, on Firefox there are a few WebGpu-related flags in about:config that you should enable.

You were right; setting dom.webgpu.enabled to true makes the examples work.

It would be much better, of course, if an error message would be shown to the user, with the suggestion to enable WebGPU.
I tried to find where such a thing could be done, and found this. However, I'm a bit puzzled, because I have the impression that this should catch and display errors, but in my case, the exception seems to be thrown somewhere else ...
