Sphere T-Matrix #4
Comments
I removed support for the particle T matrix option in V4. I never used the feature and I never heard of anyone else using it. Did you use it? If so, was it useful?
It would be possible to use this option in V3 with an externally-calculated T matrix, providing that the definitions of the vector wave functions (especially how they are normalized) are consistent with the MSTM formulation.

Subject: [EXT] [dmckwski/MSTM] Sphere T-Matrix (Issue #4)
CAUTION: Email Originated Outside of Auburn.
I noticed that sphere data cannot include the T-matrix filename in v4 (the manual says there can be 3, 4, 5, or 6 columns, but does not mention an extra string field for T-matrix), is this function deprecated?
By the way, I wonder if it is possible to precalculate the T-matrix of a nonspherical particle (use some other program) and use it in v3?

I have been working on a Julia Wrapper of MSTM these days. I was originally working on v3, and was going to work on the external T-Matrix support after having wrapped other functionalities. At the moment, I saw the publication of v4 so I turned to work on v4. I think the T-Matrix option is of value since it enables the calculation of non-spherical particles. |
