Expected Behavior

Apk stores notify me of NDNS App Manager updates. I click Update. I am asked, do you want to update?, I click update. Then I get a notice that the "Update Failed". I originally downloaded the app from Github/F-droid, but Playstore has updated the app at times too. I no longer use Google’s Playstore, so last several updates came from 3rd party app store - ApkPure. Updates from the Playstore behave funny. Dont like it, but thats not the reason I am anti-Google. Made sure no changes from which apps can update, in Security settings. Other app updates from ApkPure update and install without problem.
Where can I update this fantastic app?
