Regarding duplicated apps in f-droid.org/en/packages/

@licaon-kter Sorry to bother and I apologize about this ping/mention in a random repo (since I didn't find another way of contacting you), but GH doesn't have PM/DM system, I don't have a GitLab account (I don't want/need one for now) and as I understand it, you are a contributor/collaborator/member of the F-Droid repos (?) and I have a question and I hope you know the answer:
Why there are so many duplicated apps in https://f-droid.org/en/packages/ ?
Example: Thunderbird: Free Your Inbox and the Beta of that app under the different categories.

I don't have a good experience contacting f-droid via the official e-mail in the past and I don't have, nor I want to have any of the mentioned platforms / apps to contact the team (incl. a reg for the forum), hence here. Sorry.

Since it's not just this app, but many others too and it seems that this will continue happening, unless something is done on the F-Droid side by the team to somehow address/avoid the duplicated apps in the listing, I guess this will keep going on basically forever (unfortunately).

BTW, I miss the 4/5 new apps/updates that were listed in the home index page on the right up until recently...

those apps were not representative of all F-Droid apps, so we got rid of them

anyway, we recommend the use of F-Droid Client to get news of new apps and timely updates. The website is just for convenience.

True, but thanks to them (3) I found some useful ones.
Believe it or not I've searched first with Google and then in GitLab for Open & Closed issue tickets regarding the duplication, couldn't find anything, so I contacted you, but now suddenly it popped right on top, ofc. that's cause you've reopened it, but I should've seen it before that...
It's the first time I'm reading about "Jekyll", unfortunately I can't code (sorry), tho it's never too late to learn they say.
I only use the site on desktop, no clients and rarely on mobile, if I have to update some app (very rarely, because if something works - I tend to not risk changing that), I manually DL the package and install.
