In the x-ray simulations' doc strings , e.g. at

https://github.com/dschick/udkm1Dsim/blob/1de096608eb452c4044874d1d790ad4457e9c8f9/udkm1Dsim/simulations/xrays.py#L1700C29-L1700C29

there is no hint to the fact the not only reflectivity, but also transmission is returned.
