Have you upgraded to 0.44 recently or is this a new install?

The error message points to connection refused. Firewall settings ok? Are you blocking anything in /etc/hosts?

It’s a new installation.

I don’t use a firewall (only the ISP one) but I'm behind pi-hole. Maybe it’s related.

I have this problem since the beginning and looked around to find a solution, like editing the host file to bypass the spotify's resolver, without success.

Bypassing pi-hole did the trick
