Starting from my buddy suggestion:

I realize that now is probably not the time for this, but i can't get passed the idea of having a wesbite dedicated to dyne documentation, such as docs.dyne.org. The beauty i see in it, is that everytime a developer would have to look up docs for one piece of software, they would potentiall be exposed to all pieces of software...

Just noting for future reference. 💜

We really need first to give structure to our huge number of tools and software. I suggest to start with some buckets of huge categories to correlate our freedomness tools.
This is also a good starting point to have some human navigation experience ;p
Then we can add also other meta, but for now I propose to have categories I do propose:

  • Art/Artistic/Multimedia
  • Hackerish tools
  • Freedom/Data sovereignity/Tools for democracy
  • Beatiful useless toys/Cosmetics software
  • Crypto
  • Learning
  • SAKs (swiss army knives)
  • Libraries/Misc/I hate labels/We don't know where to put it

Please share your thoughts and add labels <3

One step at a time, we moved forward on the documentation part here https://dyne.org/docs/ using mkdocs and some custom scripting.

Just like with Tomb and Jaromail, we are trying to round-up on manpages and readmes and put them all in one place and searchable.

I would like very much to present unix manpages like this also under dyne.org/docs/manX (man1, man2 etc.)
