Recently, I made a french translation for the new time slider.

For "month", I kept the "mo" unit, as month is "mois" in French.

But I'm wondering if the "o" is necessary.

I know that we often use "mo" and not "m" so it's not confused with "minutes".

But isn't it obvious that we mean "month" and not "minute" ?

I think we could opt for "m" instead of "mo", for both English and French, so all units would be one letter long.

What is your opinion on this point?

As an ex-designer, now software engineer, I lean towards standard practice for legibility (mo in English, not sure about French), especially if it's a difference of only one character. Best not to make assumptions about the user's knowledge wherever possible imo.

Also, not sure consistency between abbreviations in different languages matters too much since I think most users will pick a language and stick with it.
