When did this happen?

I noticed that occupied Palestinian areas are marked as Palestine which I think is correct. But looking at Israel, it looks like the Golan is part of Israel, but they are in fact part of Syria under occupation by Israel.

What zones are affected?

Israel

What is the problem?

The problem is mostly a visiable representation of the contries.

Disputed borders are a political topic. Some maps use different line style to identify them.

Here are some examples.

It may be a solution.... but it's a very hard work : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_disputes

Given that our map is representing the electricity grid the question becomes less of who claims the territory and more of who provides the electricity for the area.

So the question is who is the grid operator/supplier here? If it's Israel we'd stick with the map as is and if it's Syria we'd happily change it. But due to the nature of electricity grids it can't be both.
