Problem

Currently I only see a static page that my device is being updated. But I don't know in which step the process is.

Proposal

Provide useful information to the user, e. g.:

  • Progress of firmware release being download
  • Progress of firmware release details being downloaded
  • ...

Prior Art

GNOME Firmware only shows a spinner. I think we can provide more useful information :)

Maybe also the reboot modal should hint, that you can do a reboot later and still have the firmware update installed successful.

Can you open a separate issue report for that please?
