What Happened?

When trying to update the "Embedded controller" f.e. it fails and I get the error message: "Secure boot is enabled, but shim isn't installed to EFI/elementary/shimx64.efi"

I don't know if this is a Ubuntu issue. But given the path named I suppose it could be an elementary OS configuration issue.

Steps to Reproduce

Got to switchboard, system, try to Embeddd Controller firmware or System firmware.

Expected Behavior

Firmware updates should succeed.

OS Version

8.x (Early Access)

Session Type

Secure Session (Wayland)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Log Output

No response

Hardware Info

ThinkPad X280, Intel graphics, i915 driver
