clearing notification freezes the system

If I have a long list of notifications say 20+ and I click on clear all notifications, it freezes my system and I can't do anything until after ~30+ seconds until after the notifications are cleared

I'm unable to reproduce this issue while clearing 40 notifications on 6.0 daily. This may have been fixed along the way.

I can confirm this with 2,000 notifications. To reproduce: for n in {1..2000}; do notify-send test test; done
