I apologise in advance for my awkwardness, but I struggle with the default colours shown in Visual Studio because I (like many others) struggle with colour blindness. To be specific, I have a strong protanopia with a type of red-green colour blindness.
The main issue I'm finding is that the black text does not stand out on the default red and green backgrounds. I believe white text would provide a better contrast. Is there a setting that I can alter for this without requiring a change to the code?

Unfortunately, the feature for customizing the colors is not implemented.
Yet, there's a fork of this project at https://github.com/vojtechkacmarik/netcodemetrics. It has been more recently maintained, possibly the feature has been implemented there.
I apologize.
