[DLSSPresets] and DynamicResolutionOverride ignored in Nioh 3 (DLSSTweak 0.310.5.0) #207

Description

@lin-and-tree

First of all, thank you for creating this tool! This is my first time using DLSSTweak, but I've run into quite a few issues when trying to get it to work with Nioh 3. I have also posted a similar discussion on the NexusMods.

Firstly, the [DLSSPresets] configuration doesn't seem to have any effect on Nioh 3. The game lacks the standard DLSS tiers like "Performance," "Balance," or "Quality." Instead, it uses a continuous render scale slider. As a result, even if I force all parameters under that section to a specific preset (like "Balanced = L", etc.), the game just ignores it and falls back on its default logic.

At the same time, tweaking DynamicResolutionOverride doesn't change anything either. The game still maintains its default minimum scaling floor, preventing you from setting a lower value.

Here are some more details on how the game behaves:
It appears Nioh 3 uses a dynamic, hardcoded system for assigning DLSS presets based on the render scale you choose on the slider:

  1. For "Dynamic Resolution" or a render scale of 60% and above, it defaults to Preset K.
  2. For a 40% ~ 55% scale, it applies Preset M.
  3. Only at 35% scale and below does it apply Preset L.

I have also tried using Nvidia Profile Inspector (and similar tools like DLSS Swapper). If I force Preset L globally before launching the game, it does apply successfully. However, The problem is that every time you close the game, it resets the value back to "default," meaning you have to manually change this parameter before every single launch.

Please correct me if I've misunderstood somethings. I'm also happy to provide more detailed. Thanks!
