If I use proxies, does my device's IP get used first, or do apps run directly through the proxy? Can I route all traffic only through the proxy without using my local IP?

Hello,
Your device IPs will be used first for downloading docker images.
When you start the container through the proxy, they will use proxy connections for TCP and DNS queries through your device IP by default. You may use socks5 proxy with UDP enabled and change settings in properties.conf if you wish to redirect DNS traffic also.

When you start the applications with proxy, the TCP traffic directly goes through the proxy and not your direct connection.

If the application supports content delivery in docker image it may work. Windows application has this option and have not seen this in linux docker image.

Thank you so much for your time! How can I access localhost to set up MystNode while using a proxy? I set it up with ssh -R 80:127.0.0.1:2000 serveo.net, but it's showing offline in the Mysterium dashboard—maybe due to the device IP. How can I configure it to work with a proxy? Your help is greatly appreciated!

Please follow the steps mentioned in the following FAQ to access the localhost URLs.
Please note that mysterium requires UDP connections and is not working with proxy at the moment. It works with Direct Connection , VPN and IP but not with proxy.
