[Android Auth] Hope to reconsider using the old icon

Ente Auth is one of my essential apps on my Android phone, I even docked in my launcher.

I think the icon feels like too cartoonish. It doesn't match other app icons' style. I feel it is weird every time I unlock the phone now.

Alternatively, if the logo has to be changed, at least, consider to remove the black outline, like the green icon. I think without the outline, it will be much better.

#7874 is similar, but that post is impolite, so I start a new one here.

Agree - I realize it feels like a small thing, but the new logo does not look like software to be taken seriously. The old logo with the shield was much more professional.

I agree these new icons don’t convey trust and security. The cute, cartoonish look makes some people think they look like dating apps. Others think they look like children’s apps. Either way, if I wasn’t already using Auth, I wouldn’t trust it based on the new icon. I think Ente needs to rethink this rebrand.
