Description

Description: I am attempting to migrate from Google Photos to Ente using a Google Takeout export. After setting the extracted Takeout folder as a "watch folder" in the Ente Desktop app, thousands of files were uploaded but appear corrupted in the gallery.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Extract a Google Photos Takeout zip file.
  2. Open Ente Photos Desktop.
  3. Add the extracted folder as a Watch Folder.
  4. Wait for the upload/scan to complete.

Observed behavior: The uploaded images appear corrupted in the Ente app. Upon inspecting the source files that were uploaded, I noticed the file content begins with JSON data followed by binary data, rather than a standard image header.

Urgent Help Needed: I desperately need assistance to remove these corrupted files. My library is now filled with thousands of bad entries, and I have no idea how to undo this import or get back to a clean state. Is there a way to batch-delete these specific uploads or reset the library?
