How to update TWS Display Groups?

My best solution is to use reqIds manually, but this feels like the wrong way to do things:

import ib_insync as ibi
import asyncio

ib = ibi.IB(...)
contract = ibi.Contract(...)

dg_reqId = 12345
dg_id = 4

#get future to later wait for 
future = ib.wrapper.startReq("queryDisplayGroup")
ib.client.subscribeToGroupEvents(dg_reqId, dg_id)
asyncio.get_event_loop().run_until_complete(future) #then hit ctrl-c to cancel it in interpreter
ib.client.updateDisplayGroup(dg_reqId, f"{contract.conId}@SMART") #may have to create another future here and await it too

Is there another cleaner way of updating TWS's display group contract via ib_insync?

Display Groups are not supported. There's only some support at the lower client-level.

Fresh request IDs can be obtained from ib.client.getReqId().
