When will the official Eclipse IDE be released for the ESP32-P4? (IEP-1569)

Hi All,

When will the official Espressif Eclipse IDE be released for the ESP32-P4 chip using ESP-IDF 5.4.1? I also noticed the max speed is 360 MHz. When will that be bumped up to 400 MHz?

Espressif-IDE (the official Eclipse-based IDE for ESP-IDF) version 3.1.0 has added support for the ESP32-P4, enabling development and debugging for this chip. You can use Espressif-IDE 3.1.0 or later for ESP32-P4 development. For installation and getting started, please refer to the Espressif-IDE documentation and the release announcement.

Regarding the CPU speed, the ESP32-P4 default clock frequency is 360 MHz. If you require a higher clock frequency of 400 MHz, the documentation states to contact Espressif for more information, as this is not the default configuration at this time ESP32-P4 Datasheet.

ESP32-P4 support has been included in the Espressif IDE for the last few releases.
Please try it with our recent version: v3.5.0

Feel free to reopen this issue if you encounter any specific problems with the ESP32-P4.

As for the ESP32-P4’s speed and specifications, please refer to the official datasheet.
