Hi Phil! In my use case, ops/sysadmins wants to test the performance of various OS/Docker changes on how container lifecycle performs. Assuming bucketbench would be good for that, I think the readme currently assumes:

  • You have a working go setup and know how to build this tool
  • You can't run bucketbench from a container (couldn't find image under your Hub user).

Maybe we can have bucketbench run from image with bind-mounting docker socket to make it easier for admins? I'm thinking teaching them to golang is beyond the scope of the readme ;)

Hi @BretFisher,
Do you know if there is any update on this? I'm looking to test my setup with multiple container runtimes within a Kubernetes cluster, but I have no idea how to install this tool.
