Any way to increase timeout #235

There are many times when subtitles are found several seconds after the "not responding" dialog box is displayed. This requires that I kill and restart vlc. Is there a way to increase the default timeout? Additionally, could you please add a user option so the timeout value could be changed by the end-user?
