feat: folder icon overrides #1354
Comments
No this is not possible at the moment. Filename and extension-overrides will affect directories as well, but there is no way to create an override for directories in general at the moment. That being said, I just looked into the code again and implementing this is actually not that difficult since we laid most of the groundwork already with the existing overrides already. So I can take a look at this when I find the time. I would however close this issue and will open one in the eza project since there this functionality actually has to be implemented. This repo is just a collection of themes. |
Ah no, I transferred the issue completely to eza. |
So, I'll take a look at this once I find the time ... If anyone else want's to give this a shot before then and might wanna have a few hints, just ping me. |
no matter what ive tried i cant get the icons for the Pictures and Downloads directories to change from the theme file but extension section works with files... some icons were rendering as tibetan letters (like those dirs and all compressed files extensions). to get these directory icons to change do i have to do something else than whats shown in the themes? i have this in the theme.yaml file in ~/.config/eza/ directory: colourful: true still they come out looking like this: but its supposed to look like this: |
