Hello,

They is an other git-ftp https://github.com/resmo/git-ftp. This is a problem when you want to package the soft if they have the same name and do the same things.

Like
apt-get install git-ftp ##witch one I'm installing??

This is a possibility? I know some people follow this repository... but is better to do that sooner than later no? And you can add a note in the old one...

But we were first!

This git-ftp has a snowball's chance in hell of getting merged into true Git, because true Git is written in C and shell. But I don't know what I'd rename this to, and quite frankly resmo should just get his code merged to mainline Git so we can have git ftp by default and not have to worry about installing something else.

lol :). The big issue with the other git-ftp is https://github.com/resmo/git-ftp/issues/71 , when this is fixed I guess it would be nice to merge in the git mainline.

How about git-ftp-py or git-ftpy
