I was trying to move an application folder over from an old drive. The folder itself was not seen so I then moved the contents of the folder over. The files were seen but the apps were not. How can I install apps to the emulator?

Thank you for the effort, so much fun to see the old desktop 👍

I had a similar issue when grabbing (Hypercard. If I put it in an apps folder to organize, nothing was visible in the macintosh.js folder. If I put it in the main folder directly, nothing is still visible in the macintosh.js folder, but a mounted image is visible on the desktop.

Similar issue under OSX 10.15.6 - trying to add Asterax (http://macintoshgarden.org/games/asterax) - neither the sit file nor the decompressed folder show up when put into the Macintosh JS directory.

I’m having the same issue with SimCity2000: The SimCity folder gets listed but it appears to be empty (with v1.0.4, didn’t try 1.0.5 so far).

Running on Mac (latest Mojave). My 68K or FAT apps are seen as documents when added to the Macintosh.js folder in my Home folder. On a 68K Mac, I would normally rebuild the Desktop as instructed in the OS 8 help to remedy this issue. Holding down command-option keys at startup doesn't seem to make it happen. Is there a different way to emulate it?

No new files added to the Macintosh.js folder in the home folder would appear when I restarted Macintosh.js, so I used AppClean to delete the existing copy of Macintosh.js along with all it's related files, then downloaded a new copy. Now files and apps again appear when added to the folder.

My apps are seen as documents. Also I had a bunch of .image files in the ~/macintosh.js folder which seems to make it hang on startup.
