Driver issues. #7
Description
After following all of the installation steps several times, ensuring that everything was uninstalled before trying again and that my computer was restarted between each attempt, I continue to be unable to connect my Xbox Riffmaster guitar to my PC. I consistently get these errors:
Could not create ViGEmBus device for Guitar1: Nefarius.ViGEm.Client.Targets.Xbox360.Exceptions.Xbox360UserIndexNotReportedException: Exception of type 'Nefarius.ViGEm.Client.Targets.Xbox360.Exceptions.Xbox360UserIndexNotReportedException' was thrown.
AND
Could not auto-assign; no new devices were detected.
I have even tried rolling back to older versions of both RB4 and ViGEmBus (again uninstalling every step of the installation process from control panel, with restarts in-between), but continue to get the error beginning with "Nefarius". I also tried using both Wincap and Npcap, and made sure to remove one when I was testing the other. Is everything just broken now? I really want to use my Xbox Riffmaster guitar to play Clone Hero but it looks like it isn't going to happen and I'll need to return the controller unless I'm totally oblivious and missing something.
