Especially if #4 gets implemented, messages will be garbage to non-widget clients.

If via nip7 somebody comments on some exchange trollbox / football website game discussion / ... should his followers see this outside the context of the widget? I don't think so but maybe with nip7 people juggle multiple personae anyway?
