ddc_test_tool v1.0
3 monitors found:
Monitor 1: Model PA248 Current source: 768 Valid sources according to capability string:
Monitor 2: Model VG248 Current source: 15 Valid sources according to capability string: 3, 17, 15
Monitor 3: Model U2715H Current source: 16 Valid sources according to capability string: 15, 16, 17, 18
The first two are ASUS monitors, the third is a DELL.
When I switch monitor 2 to source 3 (DVI), it shows my other PC's output, which is great. The PC happens to be awake right now. If I switch to source 17 (HDMI), which isn't connected, the monitor switches to the next input, 15 (DP). I've noticed this monitor will automatically switch to either 3 or 15 depending on which PC I wake up first.
When I switch monitor 3 (my main monitor) away from source 16 (DP), all of my windows get moved to monitor 1. I can switch to sources 15, 17, and 18; 17 is the HDMI connection to my second PC. This monitor doesn't do the auto-switching that monitor 2 does; it'll just stay on a source that's got no signal.
Finally, monitor 1 shows no sources even though it's got several, including the DP that I use for my first PC and DVI that I use for the second PC. I've never observed any auto-switching on this one; I always have to manually change it when I switch or wake up a PC.
I posted the capability string for monitor 1 in your other project:
caps="(prot(monitor)type(lcd)model(PA248)cmds(01 02 03 07 0C E3 F3)vcp(02 04 05 06 08 10 12 14(04 05 08 0B) 16 18 1A 6C 6E 70 AC AE B6 C6 C8 C9 DF)type(LCD)mccs_ver(2.0)asset_eep(32)mswhql(1))"
