It appears you can run python on an iPad with the right app. Has an iPad been tested? I’m considering buying an iPad so I can try this on it. But I figured I’d ask first. For that matter could it work on an iPhone?

FindMy probably stores the device information differently on an iPad than it does on a Mac. This the Python script won't find the information it's looking for. Furthermore, iPads are a lot more locked down than Macs. I doubt third-party apps have access to FindMy data. This means the apps that run Python can't access your FindMy device's locations.
