L4D2 can not read mods

I installed some mods in L4D2 workshop, and L4D2 can not load /read my mods.

Tried to use Flatseal to allow read home files but when edit any permissions Steam not run.

What can I do?

I found this is because Flatpak restriction.

I tried to change permissions using Flatseal but not open Steam

This is a bug of L4D2 itself IIRC. To work around this you'll have to install the game in an external library folder.
