Steam Updater window does not show anymore #1518

Description

@AsciiWolf

Fedora 43, default GNOME Wayland session, latest (stable) Steam from Flathub.

When Steam is started for the first time, have its files corrupted or if there is any important update ready, the required files are downloaded and unpacked using the integrated Steam updater/bootstrapper binary. It normally displays a similar window with the progress bar and "Cancel" button:

Updater

However, this no longer seems to be the case with the Steam Flatpak. Instead, the whole process just runs on background without any progress being displayed to the user. This is very unfortunate especially on slow connections where the first launch of Steam can take more than 5 minutes before the actual Steam Sign In window appears.

If possible, please consider fixing this.
