How to make it use ~/.config/zed

I tried giving it permission via flatseal but seems it didnt work

With mpv adding in

filesystems=!host;xdg-config/mpv:rw

Does the trick. But when I do;

[Context]
filesystems=!host;xdg-config/zed:rw

It doesn't work which implies to me this is a zed specific issue

That's probably an upstream issue of the sandbox escape.

Flatpak always hardcodes XDG_CONFIG_HOME to the app specific location - that can't be overwritten. If you give access to xdg-config/zed then flatpak only bind mounts ~/.config/zed to the app specific folder (i.e. ~/config/zed & ~/.var/app/dev.zed.Zed/config/zed are the same location).

After the sandbox escape the bind mount obviously doesn't exist. But Zed sets & uses FLATPAK_XDG_CONFIG_HOME to the app specific location. As a result, XDG_CONFIG_HOME or the default ~/.config are always ignored.
