for a while now, @flathubbot has been trying to update the codebase here to ffmpeg 8. this fails. every time.
i've grown total alert fatigue on this and i'm not ignoring pull requests here.
i wish there would be a way to tell @flathubbot something like what we tell @renovatebot, which is "no, this upgrade, i don't want it, come back later when there's a new upstream version"... right now, i can't make this thing shut up.
arguably, there should be a way to upgrade to ffmpeg 8.0 too here, but i haven't found the time to tackle that just now.
