Cannot dismiss pings when accessing them from a push notification

Steps to reproduce

1. Receive a push notification from a ping (either a tag or a DM)
2. Tap the notification and see the ping
3. Go to other channel

Expected behaviour

The ping is dismissed, the red number sign no longer appearing

Actual behaviour

The ping remains in place until you access the channel from within the app itself
